Trade Supply for Cafés, Patisseries and Shops
We work with cafés, patisseries, restaurants and shops that want to pour real Japanese matcha — the same cup, batch after batch, with a character of its own.
From day one we have bought from small growers in Izumo, in Shimane Prefecture. That is where the matcha made for Moshi Matcha alone is produced: sealed at origin and air-freighted to Poland, so that the colour, the aroma and the full weight of the flavour survive the journey.
Izumo matcha from Shimane
Matcha from Izumo is one of the rarer teas in Japan. The region accounts for around 0.2% of national matcha production, and most of what it grows never leaves the country.
That scarcity is why you seldom meet it outside Japan. What sets it apart is a natural sweetness, a creamy body and very low bitterness — which is why it holds up equally well whisked straight and used as a base for lattes, desserts and baking.
Grades, and where each one belongs
We match the grade to the way it will actually be used behind the counter.
| Grade | Where it works best |
|---|---|
| Kami / Haru | usucha, tasting flights, served without milk |
| Kizoku | speciality matcha lattes, creams, gelato and chocolate — no-bake work |
| Hotaru | everyday lattes, smoothies and baking |
All of them keep the balance Izumo is known for: sweetness, gentle umami and a clean finish.
Pack sizes and yield
Our packs are sized for a working bar — small enough that the matcha does not go flat before you reach the bottom of the pouch.
| Weight | Pack | Yield* |
|---|---|---|
| 250 g | doypack | around 125 servings |
*At 2 g of matcha per drink.
Ordering and delivery
- minimum order and trade pricing: from 250 g
- dispatched within 24–48 hours from our warehouse in Poland
- one-off orders, or a standing monthly delivery
- we can hold a batch for venues with steady turnover
That last point matters more than it sounds: holding a batch is what keeps the cup tasting the same from one month to the next. Every delivery is traceable from the grower to your counter.
What comes with every delivery
- batch number
- harvest date
- best-before date
- pesticide residue test results
- labelling compliant with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011
Japanese leaf teas to round out the list
Alongside matcha we supply Japanese loose-leaf teas that sit well on a drinks list:
- Sencha
- Genmaicha
- Wakocha — Japanese black tea
- Gyokuro
For venues building a tea list that hangs together rather than a shelf of unrelated tins.
What we do beyond delivering
We would rather the matcha tasted right in your venue than merely arrived there. So we offer:
- barista training and a guided cupping (around 90–120 minutes)
- Matcha Testing on site — tasting across the grades, with the profiles talked through
- help dialling in recipes for lattes and desserts
- training material for your team
- choosing the whisks, scoops and sieves that survive daily service
Where our matcha is poured
Izumo matcha tends to be chosen by places where the drink is part of who they are, not a line on the menu.
Over 100 of them order it regularly across Poland — a few below.
